The use of sport for a team building (only in french)

If there is one thing that is dangerously close to the bonds that one can weave at work, it is those that are created in a unifying sport. Teamwork, group logic and the implementation of a strategy are all principles that we acquire with our colleagues and teammates. It is no coincidence that many companies choose sports activities to build strong relationships between their employees.

Cohesion and communication

The sport you choose will be decisive for the skills your employees will be able to acquire. Try to find a sport with bigger teams, like soccer or basketball, that will allow everyone to communicate with each other.

On a field, the movements go fast and the game moves at a blazing speed. Your employees will have to learn how to manage to discuss with each other without losing sight of their goal: to win ... or lose in dignity against their colleagues!

Having to learn to communicate elsewhere than in an office, under totally different circumstances, will allow everyone to get to know other facets of their teammates, and thus develop new structured methods to better work together.

Motivation

Change of air can only be beneficial, whether you are an employee or an employer. Going out of the office and changing your mind all together can certainly be motivating.

Sport sometimes reveals competitive sides hitherto unknown to the other. This friendly competition will bring out this powerful profile for some of your employees, who will become leaders and motivate your troops to move in the same direction. This will certainly bring your team closer to you and build new links through the joint attainment of a goal.

Having a non-professional purpose may further encourage your troops to stand together and discover new skills on the ground.

DISCOVERY

Finally, what better than to discover or rediscover a co-worker through a team building experience. If creative or corporate events make it worthwhile, sporting events can create a sense of belonging to the team in which we find ourselves.

The links created during these activities can be beneficial for the company, whereas some of your employees could never have known each other without this common passion on a sports ground.

The important thing is to vary your team building activities. If you want to bring your troops as close as possible, try to touch on several human aspects, which will allow your employees to discover themselves, and who knows, to find themselves one evening per week on a baseball field to play in a friendly league? You never know what team building can create!
